Unlocker
One of the most annoying things that can happen is you are trying to delete a file and a message pops up saying something like “Cannot delete file: It is being used by another person or program”. After searching endlessly for ways to delete these files I ran across Unlocker.
Unlocker is a program that is totally free. All you need to do is download and install Unlocker and try to delete the file once Unlocker is running. When that irritating message appears and you press “close” Unlocker will immediately tell you what computer processes are stopping you from deleting the file and will give you many options. If it is a key processes you can opt to just delete the file using Unlocker.
This program is perfect for these annoying problems and will sort them out in no time

Plasma Pong
The latest little game I have found is Plasma Pong. Nearly everybody knows the original gaming classic Pong, but this new game is amazing. Plasma Pong uses the same foundations as Pong but as you can tell by the name you have a bunch of new powers and abilities.
As well as the standard deflecting with your bar, you can use shock wave. By pressing the right mouse button the plasma ball is sucked to your bar and then is shot off at some power.
Another way to manipulate the ball is to shoot plasma. By clicking the left mouse button the bar shoots out jets of plasma and the ball will be moved by the waves. Along with these new abilities Plasma Pong just looks fantastic. With your bar changing colours every round or so, you will never get tired of the brilliant display.
All in all this is another brilliant time waster and for 7.4 MB you have got nothing to lose

TorrentSpy closes to the U.S.
TorrentSpy.com, the infamous torrent search engine, has announced that it will be shutting down access to all members in the United States. This news comes after a U.S. judge is expected to rule any moment about weather TorrentSpy should give user information to such companies like Motion Picture Association of America. So far TorrentSpy’s defence has been that in its terms of use it clearly states that:
TorrentSpy.com does not sell, trade or rent your personal information to other companies. TorrentSpy.com will not collect any personal information about you except when you specifically and knowingly provide such information.
Whilst TorrentSpy does not directly host illegal copies of movies, MPAA claims that the search engine helps users find these pirated movies. TorrentSpy is also protected under the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) which protects Internet service providers from being hold responsible for illegal acts by its members.
“Rather, it arises out of an uncertain legal climate in the United States regarding user privacy and the apparent tension between U.S. and European Union Internet privacy laws.”
TorrentSpy will remain open to users outside the U.S. due to its servers being located in the Netherlands. TorrentSpy also warns search engines such as Google and Yahoo saying that one day these attacks on privacy will affect them.

Manhunt 2 receives “M” rating
Rockstar Games has announced that Manhunt 2, to be released on October 31st in U.S, will be a “M” rated game. ESRB (Electronic Software Ratings Board) previously gave this game a “Adults Only” rating, pretty much banning it from stores and licencing with Sony and Nintendo.
Rockstar have pledged to bring Manhunt 2 back to the market after the decision from ESRB. Manhunt 2 was also banned from the UK after the games rating group there refused to give it a rating. The decision is currently being revised.
Although gamers will not be able to see the horrors of the original version, the new version will be on US shelves on October 31st. Manhunt 2 will also be coming out on the Nintendo Wii and Playstation 2.

Microsoft recalls Xbox 360 Racing Wheel
Microsoft has just started the process of recalling the Xbox 360 Racing Wheel. The reason for this is that, in a small number of cases, the components in the Xbox 360 Racing Wheel have over heated and emit smoke when plugged into an AC outlet. Microsoft is releasing a free retrofit that is designed to fix the problem, until customers receive it, Microsoft is advising them to use the Racing Wheel on battery power only. Microsoft is saying that this is only “precautionary” measures.
Microsoft will be taking no chances over this as it is already being sued by a number of people saying that the Xbox system scratches their discs beyond repair. Microsoft has also had to fork out around $1 billion for warranty of Xbox 360’s that have malfunction irreparably after just several months.

Insurgency
After the first two brilliant mods for Half Life 2 I looked at I just had to try more, I am glad I did. Insurgency is one of the best mods I have ever played. Insurgency is a FPS but it is very realistic. There is no cross hair in free view, you have to go into the iron sight to view what to shoot. Insurgency has also got a re spawn system but instead of just re spawning as soon as you die, it sends people out in waves. This is a very good thing because with normal auto-re spawn games they go nowhere. There is also a chain of command, the Commanders can issue orders easily and effectively to there team. With all this, it is hard to find a situation you don’t like on this game.
Now there are a few minor bugs but nothing to waste a lot of time over. Occasionnaly you might get stuck in a doorway and most of the time you can see people’s nuzzle flashes though the wall but for what this game is all about, you can easily look past this.
Insurgency also has a global ranking system. All you have to do is sign up to there forum and you can see your stats which are regularly updated. This game is also very realistic, you can do things that most games don’t even think about. Bullets can rebound of the floors walls etc, you do not have to shoot people a ridiculas amount of times before they die.
Insurgency is a total Half Life 2 conversion and requires Half Life 2 and Steam to play. Insurgency is about 743 MB big including the latest patch and can be downloaded here. The best it is, it is totally free
